Happy New Year! I love you. Fri, Nov. 14th, 2008, 05:18 pm news!

REBA tonight!

Just a reminder to go vote next Tuesday. I'm posting now so any who read my LJ can plan in advance in case you in leave in a cave and had forgotten the election is coming. :) Mon, Sep. 29th, 2008, 05:56 pm

I just like the icon.

And I am going to see her...thanks to my parents, who paid for my tickets as my Christmas present, and to tattooedgirl, who actually bought the tickets. I am so excited!!! You can tell by my overuse of the exclamation point!!! ::laughs:: I get to see my buddies tomorrow as I have a Literacy Providers Network meeting and will be having lunch with my Walker friends after. Now, if I could only finish this Web site and get paid... :-) Thu, Sep. 4th, 2008, 04:37 pm

I enjoyed Sarah Palin's speech last night. I like her. I won't say she's perfect or that I agree with her on everything, but I really like her. I'm a fan. Speaking of being a fan, DIY is my new favorite network. Amy Matthews! A lot has changed in the past month. I've changed jobs, am in the process of beginning a new business, and am starting a non-profit. Basically, no more Bevill State. Ha. I'm very busy. I need more hours in the day. ::sigh::

Anne Hathaway is my new "It" girl. I saw Get Smart yesterday, and it reminded me how good she is and how beautiful. I have liked her since her Princess Diaries days, but more importantly, I have respected her. She has talent and picks roles she feels will teach her something or will allow her to work with actresses who will teach her a thing or two. To be so young but to have credited to her name working with both Julie Andrews and Meryl Streep is quite the accomplishment. This movie is not her best work, but I like it – and her – anyway. I spent Saturday at my community's annual Art in the Park. I was there with the Literacy Council, and it was a nice day. I spent the day talking to Holly off and on. We were texting on Friday and talked on the phone on Wednesday, but it was great to have a conversation face to face with her. I took her some vegetables from the garden and gave her some books for Stella, her niece. She is adorable, and Holly bought her the prettiest sundress at AitP. Various members of the Council were there throughout the event, but Tina and I stayed all day. I enjoy her company very much. Unless something major changes in the next month, my last day at Bevill State is August 8. I'm ready. I desperately need to talk to Nichole. I am going to e-mail her now. My dad had a heart attack last night. He's still in the ICU and will have an angiography with a stent tomorrow. We're hoping he will be home in a couple of days.

Thu, Jul. 12th, 2007, 01:59 pm just ramblings

I forget sometimes how much I really like Dutch. I'm with her every day, and I think I've been taking for granted her sense of humor and how much she really does love me. I'm not going to get totally sappy. I'm just saying she's been a good friend to me, and I rarely acknowledge that. I get too bogged down in Holly and Charlie and Carla. That's all. That thought just occurred to me as she was leaving. Thought I'd share. Tue, Jul. 3rd, 2007, 12:59 pm

I was looking at my LJ and thought I should update, but I don't really have anything to say. It's been a slow summer. I'm working, doing freelance projects, and preparing to go back to school. My campus has an interim associate dean, which means changes are a'comin'. Other than that, it's been quiet. I broke a tooth yesterday. :)

Wed, Apr. 4th, 2007, 02:14 pm Reba news

From Reba.com: Reba is currently working on her newest album, a duets project, slated for release in the fall of this year. Artists scheduled to record with Reba for the release are Kenny Chesney, Kelly Clarkson, Ronnie Dunn, Rascal Flatts, Vince Gill, Don Henley, Faith Hill, Carole King, LeAnn Rimes, Justin Timberlake, and Trisha Yearwood. Look for more information to come as the album's release date nears.I'm glad for a new album - even a duets album - but I do not like Rascal Flatts. I also do not like Justin Timberlake, but I have been told his song is a beautiful ballet, which he wrote specifically for this project. I am looking forward to the Don Henley, Faith Hill, and Carole King songs.
